The thick 4.0mm lead makes it both highly resistant to breakage and ensures that it can be sharpened to a fine point for detailed work. The highly concentrated, brilliant colour pigments are bright, intense and lightfast, so they can be used on both light-coloured paper, as well as dark paper, without bleeding through or fading over time.
